“Midwifery Is The Answer!”

National Midwifery Week is September 29 – October 5, 2019
National Midwifery Week (#NMW2019) was created by ACNM to celebrate and recognize midwives and midwife-led care. It’s time to display your pride in the hallmarks of midwifery that you deliver every day; this week is for you and about you.

We have created theme-related materials for you to use and share during this week. which will help in our collective efforts to spread the word. We believe everyone has the right to know how #MidwiferyIsTheAnswer for women and families!

Whether you’re willing to throw yourself into hosting a full-scale midwifery-themed event in your community or only have time to share our stories on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter, every action from every individual builds our celebration and helps to raise awareness about the important role midwives play for women and families.

National Midwifery Week Planning Kit

One of the simplest ways to participate in National Midwifery Week is to encourage clients, friends, and family to take part in our action plan. Our National Midwifery Week Planning Kit has been geared towards supporting you in creating a new understanding of midwife-led care. This digital resource provides a plethora of ideas, as well as basic tools to help you plan, stage, and publicize your affiliate’s/practice’s events for the week. Don’t forget to use the official hashtag #MidwiferyIsTheAnswer or #NMW2019 whenever you post or re-post on social media for your chance to be featured on ACNM’s social media channels!

Check out the National Midwifery Week planning kit & corresponding content below and let us know what you’re up to! If you need help or have any questions, please contact membership@acnm.org. We look forward to seeing all of your wonderful and creative ideas as National Midwifery Week 2019 approaches!
